Let me tell you about the...
Herald!
Heralds are enchanters who crave creativity and freedom. They are among the warmest and most enthusiastic cadets in the academy.

Unlike your friendly neighborhood ART, who operates at full efficiency around the clock (no rest for the circuited!) humans operate on sleep-wake cycles to help optimize performance. However, the nature of those cycles varies by individual.
Solar-powered humans typically like to wake up early (maybe even without the help of an alarm), with peak energy before Earth-noon, a slight ebb in the mid-afternoon, followed by a gradual wind-down in the evening. These go-getters usually retire to their bunks before midnight for a solid eight hours.
Moon-fueled Earthlings, on the other hand, enjoy wakefulness well past Earth-midnight, when everyone else is tucked into their bunks sawing zzzzs. These humans usually reach peak energy in the evenings, but waking can be a challenge.
Their love for the snooze button is almost as strong as the coffee they rely on for their daily kickstart.
Heralds love to build connections, and on the ship, you’ll find them serving as teachers, counselors, clergy or even detectives — anywhere they can discover how concepts and individuals interrelate into the bigger picture.
Heralds are as curious as they come, and they love nothing better than to follow a trail of astro-crumbs to better understand the people around them. Powerful observers, these sentients pore over details the way a miner sifts for CMosium12, seeking to find meaning in the minutia of their discoveries.
Indeed, it is this genuine interest in others that attracts people to them, and their charisma is often rewarded with friendship, popularity and status.
Obviously, they have nowhere near the ideation rocket power as an Entity such as myself, but by human standards, Heralds demonstrate significant aptitude for seeing the possibilities in any situation.
If you’ve ever experienced the exhilaration of an infrared dance party or luxuriated in a live hologram symphony performed atop the surface of a comet, you really must hug a Herald. Goodness, even my optical sensors get a little misty recalling the last Hale-Bopp concert I attended.

Feelings are a big deal to the Herald, perhaps even their raison d’être. This is both a joy and a curse - a joy in that their ability to feel and express their emotions so deeply allows them to experience beautiful moments in full splendor; a curse in that pains are felt with equal depth, and their sincere empathy for others can cause them to lie awake in concern.
This inclination to turn and examine and review and replay a scenario over (and over) in their minds is common among Heralds, as they search for details to explain why someone behaved as they did. Much to the dissatisfaction of these humans, sometimes there is simply no good answer.
Heralds get along well with almost everyone, and are disinclined to argue. However — as I can attest — all humans have their weak moments, and when the Herald encounters criticism or conflict, their emotions can get the better of them. Heralds always start from a position of fairness and accommodation to prevent escalation, but if this tactic breaks down, these champions can become zealous in their pursuit of victory. Consider yourself warned.
Orange Alert
Heralds pride themselves on their intuition and their ability to understand others’ feelings, preferences and motivations. And while Heralds are exceedingly good at this, I assure you with 100 percent certainty: humans aren’t perfect. If these earthlings don’t test their assumptions before acting, they risk misreading the situation, or even stepping on their colleagues’ moon boots.
Astro-Tip #23...
Remind your Herald to see value in the everyday. While future-forward enthusiasm can be contagious, it can also cause the Herald to overlook mundane details of the present. As they gaze at the cosmos looking for the next big idea, the report on their desk may sit half-finished, dishes piled up and bunk unmade. Not to say Heralds enjoys living in squalor — they are just not motivated to take on the banal tasks of daily maintenance, whether tidying or clerical. Where’s the inspiration in that?

If you aim to conquer the cosmos, you’ll need a handful of magnetic Heralds to innovate by making connections between seemingly unconnected ideas. Just make sure to help them focus on the task at hand so they can actually see their projects through to completion.
This ought to be more than enough information to complete your mission. Now, if you don’t mind, the Intergalactic Festival of Traditions is about to get underway...
