Trailblazers are social geniuses with a bent for practical experimentation. They are among the most gregarious and perceptive cadets in the academy.

Unlike your friendly neighborhood ART, who operates at full efficiency around the clock (no rest for the circuited!) humans operate on sleep-wake cycles to help optimize performance. However, the nature of those cycles varies by individual.
Moon-fueled Earthlings, on the other hand, enjoy wakefulness well past Earth-midnight, when everyone else is tucked into their bunks sawing zzzzs. These humans usually reach peak energy in the evenings, but waking can be a challenge.
Their love for the snooze button is almost as strong as the coffee they rely on for their daily kickstart.
Trailblazers love action, and on the ship, you’ll find them applying their people skills face forward — in sales and marketing, entrepreneurship or negotiation. Trailblazers also make excellent emergency responders, pilots or astronauts — anywhere they can satisfy their inner thrill-seeker.
Their uncanny ability to read the room — combined with their fun, light-hearted nature — makes these dynamos both popular and persuasive, a potent double-whammy in the leadership power-pack.
Trailblazers are also highly adept at thinking on their feet. Always living in the moment, these doers love to improvise and are highly skilled at hopscotching from one adventure to the next, making use of whatever tools and means are available...and usually leaving their less adaptable rivals in the cosmic dust.
Obviously, they have nowhere near the optical capabilities of an Intelligence such as myself, but by human standards, Trailblazers demonstrate significant aptitude for noticing small changes.
Nothing escapes the notice of these eagle-eyed mavericks, whether it’s a new pin on the uniform or a routine course change from cabin to mess hall.
And what these extroverts notice, they call out.
I once observed a commanding officer uncover a Saturnian snail smuggling operation simply by noticing a change in his cadet’s hairstyle. One question led to another, and before we knew it, the snail was out of the bag, that delicious little slime trail oozing behind it. Saturnian snail slime is a delicacy you know! And the hero who discovered it: what a pro!

Tangible reality always takes first command over emotional considerations for these roamers. They are so busy adventuring and making friends, they don’t spend much time exploring their own internal landscape. When situations get too mushy or overly emotional, these blazers often hit the trail...
Trailblazers use their instincts to deftly navigate through the social landmines of conflict. The right comment, gesture or joke can often diffuse a tense situation, and demonstrate these sentients’ good-natured willingness to be friendly.
For more complex problems however, the Trailblazer may require continual coaxing to delve deeper into the heart of the matter. Once they discover it’s more fun to get along, their commitment to work through conflict will improve. When that happens, their logical approach and easy-going nature will join forces help find a workable solution to almost any problem.
Orange Alert
Trailblazers don’t just think outside the box — they live there. While this rebellion against the status quo boldly pushes humanity further than you’ve ever gone before, the seeker’s inattention to rules can get them in trouble with more traditional, duty-bound character classes, especially when they decide, for example, that jump speeds don’t apply to them. I won’t even mention the physical danger these high-calibre risk-takers take on.
Astro-Tip #1138...
Help your Trailblazer see the bigger picture. These adventurers are so caught up in the moment, living out their jetpack lifestyles and galactasport dreams, they sometimes miss seeing the galaxy for all the stars. Sure fun is fun, but these Earthlings will do well to remember that some long-term goals — like training for a job or saving to buy the latest DreamCruiser — require a broader vision and good old fashioned discipline, boring as it may be.

If you aim to conquer the cosmos, you’ll need a complement of daring and fun-loving Trailblazers to forge the path ahead. Just make sure these rule-breakers stay within acceptable safety parameters socially, legally and physically.
This ought to be more than enough information to complete your mission. So, if you don’t mind, I’ve got a valiant flight report to file with respect to my heroic evasion of a flock of celestial brigands...
