Let me tell you about the...
Pioneer!
Pioneers are creators — as experimental as they are practical — who love to tinker and explore as they propel from one adventure to the next. They are among the most adaptable cadets in the academy, as well as the most adept with tools.

Unlike your friendly neighborhood ART, who operates at full efficiency around the clock (no rest for the circuited!) humans operate on sleep-wake cycles to help optimize performance. However, the nature of those cycles varies by individual.
Solar-powered humans typically like to wake up early (maybe even without the help of an alarm), with peak energy before Earth-noon, a slight ebb in the mid-afternoon, followed by a gradual wind-down in the evening. These go-getters usually retire to their bunks before midnight for a solid eight hours.
Moon-fueled Earthlings, on the other hand, enjoy wakefulness well past Earth-midnight, when everyone else is tucked into their bunks sawing zzzzs. These humans usually reach peak energy in the evenings, but waking can be a challenge.
Their love for the snooze button is almost as strong as the coffee they rely on for their daily kickstart.
These adventurers love to discover how things work, and on the ship you’ll find them serving in the engineering hub, the mechanic bay or the forensics lab. Their attraction to risk also makes them excellent pilots and first responders — anywhere they are called to think on their feet.
Pioneers live in the moment, satisfying their natural curiosity by pursuing a variety of interests. They love taking things apart and reassembling them for fun and personal development. If they discover a way to improve the final product in the process, (and they often do!) all the better.
Obviously, they have nowhere near the versatility of an Entity such as myself, but by human standards, Pioneers show a remarkable ability to adapt to new and changing situations with ease.
Not only are these humanoids flexible enough to fulfill the practical needs of any course correction, they genuinely enjoy the adventure.
Pioneers are as unflappable as they come, making them excellent in a crisis. These virtuosos thrive under red alert. They are rational enough to see what needs to be done, bold enough to risk life and limb to achieve it. I daresay even I feel an extra tingle in my circuitry watching these heroes in action.

The Pioneer’s boundary pushing, if left unchecked, can lead to misunderstandings and hurt feelings with those close to them. While their methods often lead to innovation in the practical world, social experimenters may soon discover (and rediscover, again and again...) not all their crewmates enjoy rough play and insensitive jokes as much as they do.
Nor do they share the same nonchalance when it comes to arguing. The Pioneer’s cool detachment from results equips them well to stomach conflict, and in fact, their sense of adventure (and stubbornness) sometimes pushes them to escalate interpersonal
differences for sport. In these moments, they will do well to remember their more sensitive, feeling crewmates may wither in an intense clash, and/or avoid interaction in the future.
Orange Alert
The Pioneer’s ability to stay calm under pressure, combined with a magnetic pull toward novelty and excitement, often attracts these earthlings to adrenaline hobbies like black hole spelunking, comet diving and jetpack jettisoning. These adventurers can be reckless in their search for greater and more extreme thrills, and when things go wrong, the outcome can be disastrous for all involved.
Astro-Tip #007...
Don’t hesitate to sound the voice of reason if you fear your Pioneer is about to take their thrill-seeking too far. As my motherboard likes to remind me: It’s all fun and games until someone crashes into the fiery surface of Kepler 22b.
As much as Pioneers love to tinker and live day-to-day, there are times when long-term planning and theoretical speculation are also necessary. These don’t come naturally to the Pioneer, who prefers to focus on the practical matters at hand.
This can make long-term commitment difficult for Pioneers, who will benefit from deliberately developing forethought and strategy to set themselves up for future success.

If you aim to conquer the cosmos, you’ll need a number of adventurous Pioneers to innovate, experiment and explore the outer limits. Just make sure to continually remind them of their safety protocols, lest they endanger themselves and their crewmates.
This ought to be more than enough information to complete your mission. Now, if you don’t mind, I’ve got a 20 hull surfers I need to clear from the ship’s exterior before I can activate the ultradrive…
